Basketball Recap: Tyree Stingley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Shadow Ridge

Page picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Shadow Ridge Stallions. That's two games straight that the Sand Devils have won by exactly seven points.

Page's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyree Stingley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Stingley's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Joseph Benally was another key player, putting up 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Shadow Ridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Harris, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Harris a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Eubanks, who had seven points and eight rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Page and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Shadow Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Page didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-30 defeat against Rancho on the 7th. As for Shadow Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 43-36 victory against Nogales on the 7th.
