Basketball Recap: El Cajon Valley Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

El Cajon Valley played against Escondido on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

When it comes to explaining why Escondido lost, don't look at Anaya McGlory. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds. McGlory has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abbey White, who posted two points and eight steals.

El Cajon Valley is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points over those games. Escondido's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-14.

Coincidentally, El Cajon Valley and Escondido will both be playing Crawford the next time they take the court. El Cajon Valley will head out to face Crawford at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, while Escondido will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
