Soccer Recap: New Manchester Comes Up Short

New Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lithia Springs Lions. Even if New Manchester couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

New Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Lithia Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Manchester will face off against Jonesboro at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. New Manchester are facing Jonesboro at the right time seeing as Jonesboro are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Lithia Springs, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sandy Creek at 8:00 p.m. on the 15th.
