Softball Recap: Coosa Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Coosa's offense. They came up short against the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders on Monday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Coosa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Southeast Whitfield County, their victory ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Coosa will welcome Armuchee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they will venture away from home to challenge Cedartown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
