Anaheim piles up the points against Whittier Christian

The Anaheim Colonists have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 83-50 victory over Whittier Christian on the road. Anaheim's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anaheim to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elise Marquez, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and six assists. The contest was Marquez's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ashley Guzman, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Anaheim pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Whittier Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anaheim will take on Savanna at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Savanna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Anaheim is ranked 73rd). As for Whittier Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
