Volleyball Recap: Summit Shasta's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Summit Shasta had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles. The Black Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Summit Shasta was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-8, 25-15.

Summit Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for University Prep Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Summit Shasta is set to challenge their familiar foe The Nueva School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Black Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, University Prep Academy will square off against rival Basis Independent Silicon Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will also give the Golden Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
