Soccer Recap: North Clayton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cedar Grove last Thursday, North Clayton came back down to earth. North Clayton fell just short of the Sandy Creek Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

North Clayton dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sandy Creek, their win bumped their record up to 3-7-1.

North Clayton and Sandy Creek could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. North Clayton will challenge Mt. Zion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 237 places (383 vs. 146). Meanwhile, Sandy Creek (ranked 339th) will meet Whitewater (ranked 38th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
