Chris Jones, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith and Trey Smith among 12 five-stars set to take the field for Chiefs and Eagles.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are five days away from meeting Sunday in Super Bowl LIX. The game will feature plenty of players that flew under the radar when it came to recruiting. There will be a combined 20 players that were not rated coming out of high school.

Kansas City has 14 players that had zero stars led by Hollywood Brown, Bryan CookTershawn Wharton and Jaylen Watson. All four are impact starters for the back-to-back Super Bowl champs.

Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata, Dallas Goedert and Jalyx Hunt headline six Philadelphia players that were unranked. Goedert has the third-most receptions in this year's playoffs with 15 while Johnson and Mailata were second team choices on the 2024 NFL All-Pro Team.

This Super Bowl also features plenty of players that were top recruits. The combined 12 five-stars is the most since Super Bowl LVI when the Los Angeles Rams played the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jalen Carter, Brandon Graham, Nolan Smith and Josh Sweat headline the seven for Philadelphia. The Eagles would have eight but Nakobe Dean is inactive because of an injury he suffered against Green Bay in the Wild Card round.

Chris Jones, Trey Smith and Juju Smith-Schuster are the most notable of the five for Kansas City.

During his senior season he threw for 4,619 yards and 50 touchdowns but his most impressive feat came on the diamond. He threw a no-hitter while striking out 16 batters in a 2-1 win over Mt. Pleasant (Texas) outpitching current Los Angeles Dodger Michael Kopech.

Travis Kelce headlines the 10 two-stars. He was an all-league selection at quarterback during his senior year at Cleveland Heights (Ohio) throwing for 1,523 yards and 21 touchdowns to go with 1,016 yards rushing and 10 more scores.
