Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Zion vs. Paulding County

The Mt. Zion Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Paulding County Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Zion has given up an average of 3.5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Mt. Zion fell victim to Villa Rica and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Paulding County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Rockmart 5-4 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Paulding County moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Mt. Zion, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
