Softball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Takes a Loss

If Tattnall Square Academy was feeling good fresh off their 10-2 takedown of George Walton Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell just short of the Wayne County Yellow Jackets by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Abigayle Baugh was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Madison Malcom, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Tattnall Square Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Wayne County, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Tattnall Square Academy is taking a road trip to take on Harris County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wayne County, they will square off against Chapel Hill at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
