Eagle Rock has no trouble against Temple City

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crenshaw, the Eagle Rock Eagles were happy to have found some success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 39-25 victory over Temple City.

When it comes to explaining why Temple City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kristi Huynh. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Huynh scored a full 60% of Temple City's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tallulah Trieu, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Temple City struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Eagle Rock pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Temple City, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Eagle Rock will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marshall is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Temple City, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against South Pasadena at 5:30 p.m. Averaging 65.1 so far this season, South Pasadena's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Temple City better be ready for a challenge.
