Delta Charter is still winless after their game against Vanguard College Prep on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 18-16 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vanguard College Prep Lions. One positive for the Dragons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Delta Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nasiyah Mims, who posted eight points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Marisa Ballesteros, who scored five points and five rebounds.

Delta Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Vanguard College Prep, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta Charter will take on Lodi Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Vanguard College Prep, they will square off against Stockton Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Vanguard College Prep's offense hasn't had much luck over their past seven matchups, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
