After losing to South Atlanta the last time they met, Miller Grove decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolverines came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 14-7 on Friday. Those 14 points were actually the fewest the Wolverines have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Miller Grove found their leader in sophomore Michael Fuller, who rushed for 147 yards and one score.

Miller Grove's run defense was locked in: South Atlanta could only muster 0.8 yards per carry. The Wolverines' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.3.

Miller Grove's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.3 points on average over those games. As for South Atlanta, their record is now 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller Grove will take on Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will be up against the Seminoles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Atlanta, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Redan at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st.
