Meanwhile, Alisal ended up a good deal behind Hollister on Thursday and lost 45-30. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Trojans came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Haybalers are ranked 384th).

Piedmont Hills will have to contain Yarit Rodr?guez Rodr?guez as she made an impact in Alisal's last game. She posted ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Mia Rivera, who put up five points and four steals.

Piedmont Hills' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Alisal, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
