GALA came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Give the Goddesses' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

They hit Port of Los Angeles with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Layla Ward-Wallace (2), Ameerah Kolleff (2), Josephine Song, and Bo Wagner.

GALA's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five games. As for Port of Los Angeles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10-1.

GALA will challenge Locke at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. GALA knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Locke likes a good challenge. As for Port of Los Angeles, they will take on Stella High Charter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Stella High Charter Academy's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
