Baseball Recap: Jefferson's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Jefferson took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Oconee County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jefferson Dragons skirted past the Oconee County Warriors 7-5. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The win (which was Jefferson's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Oconee County, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

Jefferson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Oconee County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
