After a string of five wins, St. Rita's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the St. Laurence Vikings by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since April 11th.

Angel Castro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

St. Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for St. Laurence, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

While St. Rita had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
