Softball Game Preview: McEachern Indians vs. Wheeler Wildcats

The McEachern Indians will face off against the Wheeler Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for McEachern and seven for Wheeler.

McEachern couldn't beat Paulding County on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Indians lost 18-6 to the Patriots. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Patriots since Tuesday.

North Cobb hit Wheeler with a 19-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against the Warriors, falling 21-0.

McEachern's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Wheeler, their loss dropped their record down to 3-22.

McEachern beat Wheeler 10-6 when the teams last played back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
