Softball Recap: Canton's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Canton unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monroe City Panthers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Monroe City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Canton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Schuyler County on the 4th. Hopefully Monroe City paid attention to the Tigers' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
