Soccer Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to the Van Meter Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that Perry have lost by exactly two goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Jonatan Banuelos, who's now up to 22 this season.

Perry is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5-3. As for Van Meter, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 20-1-2.

Perry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Tama County at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th. Perry are facing South Tama County at the right time seeing as South Tama County are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Van Meter, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Pella Christian on the 16th.
