Softball Game Preview: DeKalb Tigers vs. Maryville Spoofhounds

The DeKalb Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Maryville Spoofhounds at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. DeKalb's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Maryville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when DeKalb duked it out with North Andrew on Thursday. The Tigers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, Maryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against South Harrison, falling 11-0.

DeKalb's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Maryville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

DeKalb might still be hurting after the 15-7 defeat they got from Maryville when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
