Basketball Recap: Liberty Snags 12th Victory in Last 14 Games

It's playoff time, and Liberty had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles 60-41 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Blue Eagles two weeks ago, they had to take a 48-40 defeat.

Ava Kopetskie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Tula Sobrinski, who posted ten points.

Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. Nazareth Area has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Liberty nor Nazareth Area have any future games scheduled.
