Basketball Recap: Keystone Victorious

Kane came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Keystone, but Ashlee Albright wouldn't allow it. The Keystone Panthers secured a 49-43 W over the Kane Wolves on Friday thanks in part to Albright, who went 8 of 18 on her way to 27 points in addition to five boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jerzey Bell, who posted three points along with eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Despite the defeat, Kane saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addison Haight dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 46.5% of Kane's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Olivia Bell was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Keystone now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Kane, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Keystone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 42-37 loss against Bradford on the 28th. As for Kane, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-42 win against North Clarion on the 28th.
