Basketball Recap: Steel Valley Comes Up Short

Steel Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 78-20 defeat at the hands of the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Ironmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 651st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 29th).

Steel Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Shady Side Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 18-0.

Steel Valley will face off against South Allegheny at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shady Side Academy, they will host Deer Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
