Basketball Recap: Northwest Area Falls Short of Muncy in the Playoffs

Northwest Area and Muncy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Northwest Area had to settle for second. They took a 29-15 bruising from the Muncy Indians. The contest marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Natalia Ninotti and Ava Ruckle certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Ninotti posted two points along with four steals and three blocks, while Ruckle earned six points and four steals. Those three blocks gave Ninotti a new career-high.

Northwest Area's loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Muncy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Northwest Area has already played their next match, a 38-35 defeat against Canton on the 26th. As for Muncy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-37 win against Northeast Bradford on the 27th.
