Softball Recap: The Classical Academy Takes a Loss

The Classical Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Mead on Saturday. The Titans fell 11-7 to the Mavericks.

Taytum Kimbro was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carina Passarelli, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

The Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Mead, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Classical Academy will host Sierra at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.25 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mead, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Broomfield at 4:00 p.m. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Mavericks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
