After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hillsdale, Sequoia was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Los Altos Eagles 6-5. This was payback for the Ravens, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mario Fausto made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nolan Fausto, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Connor Murray, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Sequoia lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Los Altos didn't launched any.

Sequoia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Los Altos, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Sequoia has already played their next game, an 8-3 defeat against Menlo School on the 13th. As for Los Altos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-7 loss against Homestead on the 13th.
