Softball Game Preview: Warrenton Warriors vs. Washington Bluejays

The Warrenton Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Washington Bluejays at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Warrenton is looking for their season's first win.

Warrenton lost 18-2 to Union on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Washington made easy work of Fort Zumwalt South on Tuesday and carried off a 16-4 victory. Considering the Bluejays have won four games by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Washington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Warrenton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Warrenton might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Washington in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
