Eastwood proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Coronado Thunderbirds 3-2. The Troopers haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Eastwood who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 19-25, 15-12.

Angelyah Galford paced Eastwood's offense, picking up 27 kills. Galford got some help from Jovane Estebane and her 27 assists. Zoraya Gonzalez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Coronado still got an impressive performance from Difanny Soltero, who had 17 digs, nine kills, and one block. With that strong performance, Soltero is now averaging an impressive 5 kills per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Hazelle Arias, who had 25 digs and one assist.

Eastwood's win bumped their record up to 27-6. As for Coronado, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Eastwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Montwood on the 26th. As for Coronado, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Socorro on the 26th.
