Eastwood proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Coronado Thunderbirds 3-2. The Troopers haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Eastwood who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 22-25, 25-17, 19-25, 15-12.
Angelyah Galford paced Eastwood's offense, picking up 27 kills. Galford got some help from Jovane Estebane and her 27 assists. Zoraya Gonzalez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
