Soccer Recap: Santana Takes a Loss

Santana managed to keep up with Steele Canyon until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Santana Sultans lost 3-0 to the Steele Canyon Cougars. The Sultans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Santana's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Steele Canyon, they now have a winning record of 6-5-4.

Santana and Steele Canyon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Santana will take on West Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 495 places (840 vs. 345). Meanwhile, Steele Canyon (ranked 337th) will meet Granite Hills (ranked 89th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
