Basketball Recap: Colony Comes Up Short

Colony lost against Alta Loma back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The match between the Colony Titans and the Alta Loma Braves didn't end well, with the Colony Titans falling 61-42. The Titans were down 50-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Alta Loma found their leader in sophomore Mia Valle, who went 10 for 23 on her way to 31 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Valle has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Britain Hall, who posted 15 points.

Colony has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Alta Loma, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-6.

Colony won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Los Altos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alta Loma, they will host South Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
