Softball Recap: Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Extends Winning Streak to Three

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura won against West Hancock on Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Cardinals walked away with a 6-3 win over the Belmond-Klemme Broncos. The victory was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on three straight.

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Belmond-Klemme, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Broncos beat Garner-Hayfield/Ventura by a score of 9-4 later that day.
