Baseball Recap: South Effingham Takes a Loss

South Effingham has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.52 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Greenbrier Wolfpack. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Thursday.

South Effingham's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Greenbrier, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Effingham will challenge Augusta Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenbrier, they will welcome Harlem at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 24th straight victory, something the Wolfpack surely won't give up without a fight.
