Brookwood and Pelham are an even 3-3 against one another since August of 2021, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brookwood will be strutting in after a victory while Pelham will be coming in after a defeat.

Brookwood gave up the first runs last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 10-5 win over Atkinson County. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Lyla James West was excellent, going 2-for-3 with five RBI. Another player making a difference was Audrey Harrison, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Pelham's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Miller County, falling 12-5.

Brookwood's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pelham, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Brookwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Pelham in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, sneaking past 11-10. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
