Basketball Recap: Davis Sr. Piles Up the Points Against Cordova + How To Watch

Davis Sr. not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since December 30, 2024 (when they won 60-15). They breezed past the Cordova Lancers to the tune of 59-18. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blue Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Lancers are ranked 673rd).

Leading Davis Sr. to victory were Elliot Schapira and Lynnelle Davis. Schapira dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards, while Davis went 5-for-10 to rack up 10 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Davis continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lorelei Nachman was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Davis Sr. smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Davis Sr. now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cordova, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Davis Sr. and Acalanes will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Cordova, they will be home for the holidays to greet East Nicolaus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
