Soccer Recap: Central's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Central brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Jonesboro Cardinals on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Central hit Jonesboro with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Orlando Ruiz-Perez (6), Bardo Ortega, and Ricardo Bibian.

Central moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Jonesboro, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Central will welcome Northside at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northside will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jonesboro, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Jonesboro take on Harris County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
