Poteau entered their tilt with Mannford on Wednesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against Mannford by a score of 6-2. Six seems to be a good number for Poteau as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Poteau's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Mannford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.

Mannford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 victory against Locust Grove on the 1st. Hopefully Poteau paid attention to Mannford's contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Mannford on Thursday.
