Recap: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. Westmoor Rams
The Jefferson Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 59-46 to Westmoor. Jefferson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Westmoor apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grace Wang, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. Wang has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Princess Jane Warit, who scored 14 points.
Jefferson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Westmoor, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
Jefferson will head out on the road to take on Capuchino at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Capuchino is coming into the matchup with eight straight defeats at home, meaning Jefferson will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Westmoor will take on Terra Nova at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
