Soccer Game Preview: Sergeant Bluff-Luton vs. Lincoln

Sergeant Bluff-Luton hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will face off against the Lynx at 5:30 p.m. Sergeant Bluff-Luton will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln will be coming in after a loss.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton is headed into the game having not lost since March 24 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Jefferson get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. Given Sergeant Bluff-Luton's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Jefferson are ranked 90th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Lincoln's offense. They came up short against Iowa City on Saturday, falling 5-0. Lincoln have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton's win bumped their record up to 3-0-2. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lincoln in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
