Volleyball Recap: Pren Mcgarvey and Lily Grace Clay Secure Win for Gainesville + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Milton, Gainesville was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cherokee Bluff Bears 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Red Elephants: when they faced off against the Bears back in August, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Gainesville was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (58-57), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 15-13.

Leading Gainesville to victory were Lily Grace Clay and Pren McGarvey. Clay had 14 digs, while McGarvey had 24 assists.

Gainesville's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-7. As for Cherokee Bluff, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-5.
