Football Recap: Bishop Leblond Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop LeBlond can now relate to. They lost to the St. Joseph Christian Lions on the road by a 54-38 margin on Friday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Bishop LeBlond lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cooper Tabor, who threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards and one score. Cole Sigrist was another key player, picking up 106 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Bishop LeBlond moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for St. Joseph Christian, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.

Bishop LeBlond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph Christian, they will square off against Rock Port at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Blue Jays have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
