Baseball Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jasper can now relate to. They lost 18-5 to the Nemo Vista Red Hawks on Thursday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasper saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max Davis, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Malijah Campbell, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Nemo Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-17 record this season.

Jasper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nemo Vista, they have already played their next matchup, a 15-2 loss against Columbia Christian on the 15th.
