Softball Recap: Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the West Fork Warhawks, falling 11-1. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Warhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for West Fork, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will welcome Humboldt on Thursday. As for West Fork, they will face off against Newman Catholic on Monday.
