Long County came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Islands Sharks get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Blue Tide might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Long County's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Islands, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Long County will head out to square off against Jenkins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Islands, they will face off against Southeast Bulloch at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sharks will need to watch out since the Yellow Jackets have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
