Football Recap: Astoria Comes Up Short

Astoria made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Seaside, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Fishermen fell just short of the Seagulls by a score of 19-17 on Friday. The Fishermen have struggled against the Seagulls recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Astoria's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Seaside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Astoria will host Scappoose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Fishermen will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Seaside, they will welcome St. Helens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
