Football Recap: Little River Piles Up the Points Against Centre

Little River never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-0 win over the Centre Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Little River's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaren Garrison, who rushed for 38 yards and three touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Garrison a new career-high. Logan Schubert was another key back, gaining 57 total yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Little River's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ty Janette and Kelby Rice, who racked up four sacks between them. Eastyn Wohletz got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Little River's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Centre, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little River will venture away from home to take on Goessel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centre, they will head out to square off against Burlingame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
