Softball Recap: McEachern Takes a Loss

McEachern scored first but ultimately less than Hiram in their matchup on Wednesday. They lost 14-6 to the Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 back in September.

McEachern has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Hiram, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.

Coming up, McEachern will square off against Paulding County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hiram, they will challenge Cartersville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hurricanes have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
