Recap: Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets vs. Vincent Memorial Scots

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morse, the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 60-33 victory over Vincent Memorial. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Palo Verde Valley also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Charlotte Dagnino continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Palo Verde Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryjane Dagnino, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.

Palo Verde Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Vincent Memorial, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palo Verde Valley will face off against Xavier Prep at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday. Xavier Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Palo Verde Valley likes a good challenge. Vincent Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Central at 5:30 p.m. on November 29th.
