Basketball Game Preview: Fallbrook Warriors vs. Canyon Crest Academy Ravens

The Fallbrook Warriors will face off against the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Fallbrook's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Fallbrook is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Orange Glen 105-48 on Monday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Petey Pizzo and Elliott Watkins were among the main playmakers for Fallbrook as the former almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine assists and the latter went 14 of 22 on his way to 29 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. Watkins' evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Jones, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Canyon Crest Academy's good fortune finally ran out last Monday. They fell just short of Steele Canyon by a score of 77-75. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (69), the Ravens still had to take the loss.

Fallbrook's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.2 points. As for Canyon Crest Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Fallbrook lost to Canyon Crest Academy at home by a decisive 68-50 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Fallbrook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
