Softball Recap: Kell's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Kell came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hillgrove Hawks 3-1. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Kell's victory bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Hillgrove, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Looking ahead, Kell will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against North Cobb at 6:00 p.m. As for Hillgrove, they will venture away from home to take on Osborne at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.58 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
